DIFFERENT THINKING FOR DIFFERENT RESULTS
Welcome to “The Excellence Quartet" of ChangeWORLD Blogs.
The articles in each of these blogs have different themes but with the common purpose
of promoting the cause of Excellence as the key to prosperity. Each of the four
blogs has a new article each month using a recent business/financial topic to highlight
different perspectives and conclusions from those obtained through conventional thinking
and analysis techniques. We are in an age where truly the Emperor Has No Clothes
and where, if we do not learn how to see clearly what is there to be seen, we shall
suffer unnecessary and avoidable disaster.
- Our first Blog, and the “father” of the series, is Exceeding Expectations - the Key
to Competitive Advantage - it focuses on applying the Competitive Strength Point
of View to highlight the ever widening gulf between current and widespread “Financial
Expertise” and the “Common Sense” of Excellence.
- The second Blog in the series is called You’re Having a Laugh ... Seriously? These
articles take a lighter hearted look at the extraordinary things that some businesses
do to their customers, their shareholders and the public. They may make you laugh,
they may make you want to cry - but they all happened.
- Our third Blog, Business Bloop of the Month Award, highlights the, sometimes gross
and occasionally comic, absurdities that result from conventional management behaviours
and attitudes and attempts to identify the learning opportunities that they provide
for the rest of us.
- The fourth Blog in the series is titled Capitalism or .... Common Sense? This series
of articles argues the case for a different style of capitalism that will serve our
global societies better. We don't believe that Capitalism is finished but neither
do we believe that it has just caught a nasty cold and all will be well when the
sniffling stops.
We hope you find these enjoyable, thought provoking and stimulating. Don’t hesitate
to let is know what you think.
